L’Oreal Paris Super Liner Black Lacquer

So if you’re new to make up or even if you have been wearing it for years you know that eye liner can be horrible to apply!  Now I had this friend from work who seemed to always apply the perfect eye liner and I never knew how she did it. It just seemed as though every time I would try I could never get it to look right. Finally one day I asked her what she did and she told me that she used different kinds from different makeup companies but a felt tip applicator worked best. So that night after work I stopped in at the drug store and picked up a felt tip eye liner. I was so happy I did because it worked! I was able to get a straight line and the right thickness.  Now over the years I have tried countless brands but the one that seems to stand out for me are the ones from L’Oreal Paris. They just last longer than the other drug store brands. One in particular ‘Super Liner Black Lacquer in Black Vinyl’, this liner is that perfect colour; the name explains it all in black vinyl.  You put this on your eyes and it won’t move all day! I mean I can put it on my hand and try and rub it off even with water and it won’t budge.  I also like the fact that the handle is long which makes applying the product easier.

Overall, I think it’s really great and if you get a chance you should go try it out.

Till next time,

xoxo

Clinique Make-up Review

Hello! I hope you’re all doing well. So as you all know I received some Make-up from Clinique and thought I would do a review on it so far. So let’s get started!

First off how great is this make-up bag! I’m always traveling back and forth from my boyfriends to my parents right now and this is just the perfect size to keep everything I need for a week!

This blusher is called “new clover”. I find it’s a great mat blush that compliments light skin tones.  It gives the perfect glow and a hint of colour. The downside is that if you have a darker skin tone I don’t think this colour will show up that great. Also if you’re one of those girls who love bright cheeks, this may not be for you because this is more of a light dusting of colour.

Here is a colour surge eye shadow duo in “strawberry fudge”.  I have to say I love the packaging of this. Again because I travel a lot I can just pick this up and go, also I love how there is a huge mirror. The two eye colours are very pigmented with shimmery sparkles. I also love how you can wear either colour on its own or together for a night time look.  The blusher in this set is called “cupid”. Now this blusher also is pigmented but not as much as the eye shadows. Again this colour is great for lighter skin tones and even in the summer I would say this would look great with a tan. The downside is that I don’t think it would give the same effect on darker skin tones. You would pick of the pigments which would look pretty but of course every blusher looks different on everyone.

This is Clinique’s lash doubling mascara in the colour black. This mascara is great for defining each lash. I would say that it gives greater length than volume and it looks wonderful on the bottom lashes. For me personally I already have really long eye lashes and need more volume. So I would say this is great for day time mascara. If you need more length I would recommend giving this a try.

I also received two lip products. The first one is a chubby stick moisturizing lip colour balm in 04 mega melon. I find this product very creamy and it just glides onto the lips. It’s also great for day or night time wear. It also has a great shine to it.

The second one is a lip stick called “A Different Grape”.  Now normally I wouldn’t buy anything near this colour for myself. I think it looks to dark but after trying it on, if it’s parted with the right make-up I could pull it off. Right now though, it being winter and my skin being super pale (as you can tell) it might take a little work in order to wear it without looking like a Goth or Vampire.  Don’t get me wrong the colour is beautiful and with darker skin tones I think you could wear this anytime of the day and it would be perfect, just maybe not right now for me.

Have you tried any of these products? What do you think of them?

Till next time,
xoxo
