Hello!

I hope everyone has had a good month so far! Mine has been a little crazy you might say. I've had a couple interviews for a new job and trying to plan where I want to live and move house. I've also started volunteering (which I love) but it has taken up a lot of my time. Throughout this month I've tried to stay positive! It seems to help when I'm feeling stressed and over whelmed. A couple days ago I went out for dinner at a Chinese buffet with a couple of friends and in my fortune cookie I found this :

I know what your thinking (they are mass produced and it's just statistics in which one you get) but I think that it's just nice to get one like that every once and a while.

How has your month been? What do you do when you're feeling stressed?

So yesterday was such a nice day I thought I would go out for a walk with the boyfriend. We ended up going to a nature preserve. I have been there a couple times before but never in the winter. I thought it was really pretty with all the snow covered trails. Also it has a stream that flows through it which is also really pretty to look at.

What do you like to do on nice days? Hope you all had a lovely one:)

February Favorites!

So I thought since I've been using a couple of products over and over again I thought I should let you know what they are.

Skincare:

I have been loving Aveeno products all month long! It wasn't until this year that I started to really use their skin cleansers but I'm so glad I did!

The first product that really got me into Aveeno is the 'Clear Complexion Cream Cleanser'. I have to say that this is the best facial wash I have ever used! I've always had skin that breaks out and I've tried everything to try fix it. This makes my skin feel clean and not stretched out, like a lot of other products do (especially if they are for acne). It has gentle microbeads which really get into the skin and clean out our pores. Overall great product and I think I'll be using this for a long time.
The second facial product I've been loving is also by Aveeno. Its called 'Ultra-Calming Moisturizing Cream Cleanser'. I've been using this when my skin is feeling really dried out from the weather. I normally have combination to oily skin in my T-zone but in the winter I tend to get dry patches. This really moisturize my skin while cleansing. I also like that it's for sensitive skin so I know that it won't break me out.

Hair:

For years I've been just brushing my hair with a normal brush when I got out of the shower. I wasn't until I started seeing that my hair was becoming more damaged and I looked on YouTube and saw people talking about using a comb after getting out of the shower. I tried this and I would say that it really does make a difference. I went out and bought a comb from Goody and I can really tell a difference in my hair. I'm not losing as much and the breakage is to a minimum. I would tell everyone now to just use a comb after getting out of the shower! This comb is really the perfect size too for travel, I can just throw it in my hand bag and go.

I have been using CHI Silk Infusion for a couple of years now. I tried other products for heat protection and smoothing my hair but I always come back to this one. I love how it makes my hair feel, it's always super soft and silky. I know some people say that it smells like mens cologne but personally I love the smell of it :) The only down side is the price, it can be a bit expensive. I would recommend if you live in Canada going to Winners. They normally have difference sizes for a cheaper price.

Make-up:

I guess this is kind of considered make-up but its the 'Blistex' in Berry. I really love the smell of this and I've found that pretty much every day I've been putting this on. I love that it has SPF 15 as well.

For foundation I've been loving the 'Annabelle Skintrue Natural Lightweight Makeup'.  I have it in the lightest colour natural ivory. I love the texture of this and also how it coves what I want to cover but still looks like I'm not caking on make-up. I would say it's more like a BB cream than anything else. It's also really good if you like to mix your foundations. I have mixed this with other brands and it works really well. Another thing is that you get a lot, so in the bottle you get 40ML / 1.4 OZ. It's oil free and leaves a matte finish. I just love it!

Also from Annabelle I have been loving the 'Eyebrow Pencil' in 010 Taupe. I like how easily it applies and I also love that it comes with a little brush attached to the lid. I've been using it pretty much all month to fill in my eyebrows.

For eyeshadow I've been using the same colours all month. It's from 'Cover Girl Eye Enhancers' in the colour 215 Country Woods. I really love how it looks on the eye. It can also be used in the day and then also for the night. Another thing is that is pretty cheap so that's always a good thing :)

Eyeliner is from 'Loreal Paris Super Liner Black Lacquer' in the colour Black Vinyl. I have already done a post on this Here and I cannot say enough good things about it! I just love it. I use this EVERY day!

Finally my last favorite for this month is a blush from 'Clinique' in the colour cupid. I just love this blush!!! I have also been wearing this a lot. I think its the perfect colour for winter and spring. Every time I wear this it just gives me a pick me up!
